We are Kings and Priests
In many instances Israel and the “called” have both misunderstood the high calling of God. Israel
coming out of Egypt and the called coming out of the world were given the same challenge to become
a kingdom of priests and a holy nation unto God. Israel decided it would have been better to have
stayed in Egypt than to have come out to worship God in the wilderness. The Church is making a
similar mistake today in denying the glory of our wilderness testing in pursuing abundant worldly
treasures in abundance instead of the calling to become a holy nation of royal priests. The
requirements for both covenants are the same for God’s people to become a holy nation of priests,
“if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant.” The old covenant was the laws written on
tablets of stone. The new covenant is the law written on the table of our heart and put in our
mind.
Ex 19:5-6 5 'Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall
be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. 6 'And you shall be to Me
a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words which you shall speak to the children
of Israel."
Rev 5:10 10 And have made us kings and priests to our God;
And we shall reign on the earth."
The unwillingness of some of today’s preachers to teach the glory and necessity of our trials and
tribulation has caused rebellion against the Lord. It is rebellion because it has caused many to
have gone astray in their heart by becoming part of this world instead of only being in the world.
Many have mistakenly assumed that the fulfillment of the promises of God is automatic because they
are “saved.” Until the calling of the royal priesthood is understood and our responsibility
accepted it is impossible for us to gain a true picture of the requirements. For us to grow
spiritually we must pursue being conformed to the image of Christ. It is in the fulfillment of
being conformed to the image of Christ that we become a holy nation of priests unto God.
The priesthood under the Law was but a shadow of the royal priesthood offered to the Jew/Gentile
Israel of today. What has been misunderstood is that the priesthood is offered to all who are
called, but only those who obey the Holy Spirit and keep the new covenant will attain to it. When
we live life in our own understanding we are rejecting this new covenant of God which is to have
His law written in our heart and placed in our mind. Without being renewed in the spirit of our
mind we do not have the living Word within us to guide us into being conformed to the image of
Christ. It is a requirement to be conformed to the image of Christ before we become a royal
priest.
Romans 12:2 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your
mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Heb 9:9-10 9 It was symbolic for the present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered
which cannot make him who performed the service perfect in regard to the conscience-- 10 concerned
only with foods and drinks, various washings, and fleshly ordinances imposed until the time of
reformation.
Heb 9:6-10 6 Now when these things had been thus prepared, the priests always went into the first
part of the tabernacle, performing the services. 7 But into the second part the high priest went
alone once a year, not without blood, which he offered for himself and for the people's sins
committed in ignorance; 8 the Holy Spirit indicating this, that the way into the Holiest of All was
not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing. 9 It was symbolic for the
present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make him who performed the
service perfect in regard to the conscience-- 10 concerned only with foods and drinks, various
washings, and fleshly ordinances imposed until the time of reformation.
Heb 9:13-15 13 For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the
unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, 14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who
through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead
works to serve the living God? 15 And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by
means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who
are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
It is the dead works of conscience that keep us of this world instead of just in the world. It is
the living word that reveals the dead works so that we may be renewed in the spirit of our mind. We
maintain our Temple holy free of spots and blemishes through the living word abiding and the blood
of Christ. Once we have been renewed in the spirit of our mind we know what is the good and
acceptable will of God.
The earthly services performed by the priests pointed to the work of our salvation, sanctification,
justification and perfection that is to be worked out in our daily lives. The sacrifice of offering
slain by the priest at the Tabernacle gate typified redemption and justification by the blood and
body of Jesus Christ. The brazen laver, where the priests washed their hands and feet, represents
our cleansing from the sins of the flesh by the washing of water by the Word. The golden
candlestick in the Holy place represents the Spirit of Truth who writes the Word in our hearts and
minds as we "walk after the Spirit." The table of showbread, of which the priests ate, symbolizes
the communion of the body of Christ. "the bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body
of Christ?” For we being many members are one body, and one Spirit: for we are all partakers of
that same bread"
1 Cor 10:16-17 16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of
Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? 17 For we, though
many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread.
The golden altar of incense is for the prayer and praise ascending day and night from the hearts
and lips of God's people. The birth, anointing, consecration, consecrated ministry, and garments of
the priesthood all foreshadowed the spiritual development of the Royal Priesthood. All of the
earthly priestly services are foreshadowing the working out of our salvation where God's saints are
progressively changed from a carnal nature into the express image of the Son of God.
The priesthood of Aaron typifies this but in no way equals the glory of the priesthood of Christ
after the order of MELCHIZEDEK. The earthly priesthood typifies the process by which men become
priests. The order of Melchizedek is the pattern and order of the Heavenly Priesthood mature sons
will attain to.
Melchizedek points us toward the goal of the Royal Priesthood, to the glory that belongs to Christ.
The Levitical priesthood reveals the natural qualifications which must be met to become a priest.
Melchizedek reveals the Glory and spiritual order of the royal priesthood. Aaron’s priesthood
signifies a process. Melchizedek signifies an order. If we want to know how to become a royal
priest, we can study the earthly priesthood and follow its process to experience all it signifies.
To understand the glory of the royal priesthood we must look unto Jesus the High Priest after the
order of Melchizedek. Being conformed to the image of Christ will bring about the fulfillment of
the royal priesthood in our life.
Heb 7:14-19 14 For it is evident that our Lord arose from Judah, of which tribe Moses spoke nothing
concerning priesthood. 15 And it is yet far more evident if, in the likeness of Melchizedek, there
arises another priest 16 who has come, not according to the law of a fleshly commandment, but
according to the power of an endless life. 17 For He testifies:
"You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek."
18 For on the one hand there is an annulling of the former commandment because of its weakness and
unprofitable ness, 19 for the law made nothing perfect; on the other hand, there is the bringing in
of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.
Perfection of conscience could not be obtained under the Levitical priesthood, for under it the
people received the law, and "the law made nothing perfect", rather it was to serve to bring the
people into the knowledge of sin "that sin by the commandment might become exceedingly sinful"
Romans 7:7-8 7 what shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not
have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had
said, "You shall not covet." 8 But sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all
manner of evil desire. For apart from the law sin was dead.
Thus this ministry of law, under the Levitical priesthood, was a ministration of condemnation
leading mankind into death. The ministry under grace, the royal priesthood, is the ministration of
liberty leading mankind into eternal life and that more abundantly.
This is why Jesus had to be a different and a higher kind of priest. He had to have the MELCHIZEDEK
order. Because the Melchizedek priesthood is an order, let us also grasp that the order of
Melchizedek is the order of the SON OF GOD.
Heb 5:5-6 5 So also Christ did not glorify Himself to become High Priest, but it was He who said to
Him: "You are My Son, Today I have begotten You."
6 As He also says in another place: "You are a priest forever
According to the order of Melchizedek";
The order of Melchizedek is the priesthood of sonship. The one "made like unto the Son of God"
bears the name of this order, and the firstborn Son of God is Himself our example into that order,
All who come into sonship through the ages shall come into that same image of Jesus Christ and
shall reign with Him as kings and priests in the order of Melchizedek. How do we become royal
priests? Study and meditate upon the ministry of Jesus for there in is contained Holy Order, and
the mystery and the path to the royal priesthood.
A priest is an individual who stands between God and His people. God has selected priests from the
ranks of mankind to stand between Himself and the family of God for eternity. Until the selection
process of the royal priesthood is understood and accepted it is impossible for any member of God’s
Israel, whether Jew or Gentile, to gain a clear picture of the purpose of God in eternity. Thus for
us to grow spiritually and minister effectively we must first glimpse the vision of sonship.
1 Peter 2:9-10 9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own
special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His
marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained
mercy but now have obtained mercy.
Heb 8:7-10 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for
a second. 8 Because finding fault with them, He says: "Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD,
when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah-- 9 "not
according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to
lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded
them, says the LORD. 10 "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after
those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I
will be their God, and they shall be My people.
The priesthood is always Israel whether of the old covenant or the new covenant. There is no
"Gentile Church." There is only Israel the called out, the royal priesthood, the elect of God, the
true and only Saints of the living God. Everyone who is not consecrated a royal priest will become
the “nations of them that are saved.”
When we separate the children of Israel from the children of God we are neglecting the priesthood
that has been offered to the ISRAEL of God in this new covenant. We cannot separate Israel from
“the Called” because there is neither Jew nor Gentile. It is error to say “the Called” and God’s
Israel are not one in the same. When we speak of Israel, it means the one election of God,
beginning with Abraham and ending with the last person called of God.
Romans 11:17-21 17 And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree,
were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive
tree, 18 do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support
the root, but the root supports you. 19 You will say then, "Branches were broken off that I might
be grafted in." 20 Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do
not be haughty, but fear. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you
either.
All nations of the earth are to be blessed in Abraham. Israel is to become one holy nation under
God not two. There is but one family of God in Heaven and on the earth. As the household of faith
we are all the family of God but we are not all royal priests of God. Just as in the beginning all
priests were Levites but all Levites were not priests. The Levites that were not priests tended to
the articles and furniture of the Tabernacle. The same is today, all of God’s people are saved but
all saved people are not royal priests.
Rev 17:1414 "These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of
lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful."
The whole tribe of Levi was called to be the ministers of God, but only one family of Levites was
chosen to the priesthood. The important fact that needs to be understood is that all priests were
Levites, but not all Levites were priests. The priests had to belong to Aaron's family; the Levites
belong to the larger family of Levi. Priests were consecrated to their office. The royal priests
will be the sons of God and the “saved” will be of the larger family similar to the Levites. God
has given gifts to the body for its perfecting and equipping it for ministry and the perfecting of
the called out.
Heb 12:5-8 And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons:
"My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD,
Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him;
6 For whom the LORD loves He chastens,
And scourges every son whom He receives."
7 If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father
does not chasten? 8 But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you
are illegitimate and not sons.
Eph 4:12-16 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the
body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of
God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14 that we should
no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the
trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in
love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head--Christ-- 16 from whom the whole body,
joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which
every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
Israel, God’s elect, God’s chosen, God’s royal priesthood, is one family whether under the old
covenant or the new. Israel is the Servant of the Lord, the Body of Christ, the Olive Tree, we are
the Seed of Abraham by faith.
Gal 3:9-11 9 So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. 10 For as many as
are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does
not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them." 11 But that no
one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for "the just shall live by faith."
If we are to understand the Divine plan we must recognize that within the ranks of mankind there is
a group of people whose names were called out at the beginning of creation. They comprise the kings
and the priests in both covenants. They have been predestined to be conformed to the image of
Christ so He will be the Firstborn among many brethren.
Romans 8:28-30 28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to
those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to
be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30
Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and
whom He justified, these He also glorified.
Does this mean “the Called” will become the chosen of the Lord if they are not faithful in the
order of Melchizedek/Christ to become the chosen? For us to gain our predestined inheritance we
must seek to become the express image of Christ continually to apprehend that for which we have
been apprehended. Let’s not forget what happened to Israel in the wilderness. They wandered forty
years and did not enter the Promise Land. They did not enter because they murmured and complained
and did not praise God in their time of testing. To enter into the inheritance of a son we must”
learn obedience by the things we endure.” We learn by obedience that God’s ways and thoughts are
far above our ways and thoughts. We must take all of our trials with Joy knowing and looking unto
the promises of God. Do you suppose that the “called” today are following in the footsteps of
Israel in the wilderness?
Eph 4:12-16 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the
body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of
God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
According to God Himself this is a command for the body to come into. If we do not come together to
fulfill this command of God will we die in the wilderness without entering into the fullness of
Christ? Are we like Israel of old thinking it would be better to have stayed in Egypt? In Egypt we
can have our wants supplied by those of the world who rule over us. The fulfillment of God’s Word
is not conditional on whether we decide to take part or not. God has said this is what His body
will become. If we do not participate will be the body of Christ? We will be conformed to the
express image of Christ or forfeit sonship and the royal priesthood
The "salvation" of the royal priesthood includes being changed into the express image of Christ and
being one with Christ as Christ is one with the Father. Should I believe that I am one with Christ
if I live life according to my fleshly desires instead of by the leading of His Spirit?
The "salvation" of all the other members of the saved nations means at the final judgment they will
be brought into the new heaven and earth under the reign of Christ and the kings and priests, there
they will be the citizens of the “nations of them which are saved.”
Rev 21:23-27 24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of
the earth bring their glory and honor into it. 25 Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there
shall be no night there). 26 And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.
27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie,
but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.
It is obvious these nations are made up of “saved” people. The holy city is from where the kings
and priests rule those who are saved but are not part of God’s elect, God’s faithful. Those who are
to rule have been redeemed out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation
God’s elect always are His witnesses. God deals with each member of His elect, while the remainder
of people on the earth goes about their business. Those who take up their cross and follow Christ
will sit on the twelve thrones and judge the 12 tribes of Israel.
Matt 19:27-29 27 Then Peter answered and said to Him, "See, we have left all and followed You.
Therefore what shall we have?" 28 So Jesus said to them, "Assuredly I say to you, that in the
regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will
also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 "And everyone who has left
houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name's sake,
shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.
The nation of Israel to this day has been a part of the nations rather than a people holy unto the
Lord. When God removed the sacrificing for their sins by the priests through Christ’s sacrifice
Israel has been without a sacrifice for their sins. Israel has since gone in the way of the world
by rejecting their savior. Israel has suffered greatly because of its rebellion against the Lord in
rejecting His provision. Today’s Christian’s also in numerous instances have refused to keep
separate from the world. Great suffering is ahead for the Christian community if they do not come
out and return to their first love, Christ.
In the day in which we are living, God once again is calling chosen individuals, both Jews and
Gentiles, to become sons and the royal priesthood. The chosen of God are to become His special
treasure among the nations. God wants His own people to be separate, holy unto Himself, continually
lifting up holy hands and singing praises to Him. Those who will surrender to the Lord will become
a part of the faithful remnant today that is being drawn out from among the saved nations. Many of
the “believers" today are already becoming part of "Babylon the Great" and do not recognize this
has happened to them. This falling away is happening in part due to the lack of truth being taught
from the pulpits today. Too many are being taught to seek blessing instead of being the blessed and
blessing others with God’s love.
The Aaronic priesthood administered the LAW, and the priesthood of Melchizedek ministered BLESSING.
He blessed Abraham and he blessed the Most High God. We cannot be a blessing until we believe we
are the blessed of the Lord. Melchizedek was a king and a priest who lived in the realm of blessing
and he was sent to bless Abraham. If we are seeking to be blessed, we are seeking from the old
covenant. We have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in Christ. We have been blessed with
every thing we need to become a son and ultimately a king and priest. In the new covenant the Lord
and the nations of saved will be the inheritance of the sons/priests. The greatest mistake we can
make is to think we can not be a blessing until we have been blessed with abundant finances. What
about healing the sick, cleansing the lepers, casting out demons and setting the captives free,
freely we have been given freely we must give. When God is truly our source why are we are not
blessing others with His life? Is it because we are waiting to be blessed? Why should God bless us
financially if we are not already being a blessing? We are not being faithful in what we have
already been given, the fullness of Christ. This is not saying that we will be without the finances
necessary to perform the task at hand. God is our source and He does provide. The issue is not
whether God has provided or not but rather how have we used the provision.
Num 18:20 20 Then the LORD said to Aaron: "You shall have no in heritance in their land, nor shall
you have any portion among them; I am your portion and your inheritance among the children of
Israel.
Num 18:21-24 21 "Behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tithes in Israel as an
inheritance in return for the work which they perform, the work of the tabernacle of meeting. 22
"Hereafter the children of Israel shall not come near the tabernacle of meeting, lest they bear sin
and die. 23 "But the Levites shall perform the work of the tabernacle of meeting, and they shall
bear their iniquity; it shall be a statute forever, throughout your generations, that among the
children of Israel they shall have no inheritance. 24 "For the tithes of the children of Israel,
which they offer up as a heave offering to the LORD, I have given to the Levites as an inheritance;
therefore I have said to them, 'Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance.' "
Melchizedek did not bless just anyone; he blessed Abraham the one who had the PROMISES of God.
Melchizedek blessed Abraham because he had believed God. Today’s Christians who seek blessing under
the law are not of faithful Abraham because they are not of faith. The word says the “Just shall
live by faith” but the law is not of faith. Faith says that I am what God has said I am. Faith is
not based on my experience but on God’s word. I must have expectation or hope of receiving what God
has said in order to arrive at the experience of what God has said.
Romans 3:20 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by
the law is the knowledge of sin.
Romans 4:14-15 14 For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise
made of no effect, 15 because the law brings about wrath; for where there is no law there is no
transgression.
Gal 2:16 16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus
Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ,
and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
How are we blessed with faithful Abraham? Not by any part of the Law. We are blessed with Abraham
through the faith of Christ. It is through the his seed Christ because that is what God has said.
The danger of leading people to the law for blessing is that is makes the sacrifice of Christ in
vain and reinstates the bondage of the law. The Spirit leads us to give not because of the Law but
because of faith working by love. It isn’t the Law we are tested in it is our Christ authored faith
that is being tested. It is our response in trials that demonstrates faith or a lack of. Faith
believes and trust in what God has said to “us.” This is why it is not tithing but giving from the
heart in faith that is of the new covenant. The new covenant does not promise great wealth. The new
covenant promises that we will reign in this life through the gift of righteousness and an
abundance of grace so that we may obey faith. The Spirit speaks to us and to be of faith we must
obey what has been said. “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.” First we must
hear what the Spirit is saying to us. We must believe what has been said and then we must put
action to our belief for it to be of faith.
Romans 1:5 Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all
nations for His name,
.Gal 3:2-6 2 This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the
law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now
being made perfect by the flesh? 4 Have you suffered so many things in vain--if indeed it was in
vain? 5 Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by
the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?-- 6 just as Abraham "believed God, and it was
accounted to him for righteousness."
Great were the promises given to Abraham! Great are the promises to the children of God through
Abraham. We find in scripture that there were seven great promises given to Abraham.
Gen 12:2-3 2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; you shall
be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."
Not the families of Israel, or the families of the “called,” but all the families of the EARTH. In
these promises Abraham understood that his blessing was to be all the families of the earth through
his seed. Those who are of faith are in Abraham’s family through Abraham’s seed, “Christ.”
God had promised Abraham that He would bless him. And when Melchizedek met him that day, HE blessed
Abraham. Then the Lord said, "Thou shalt BE a blessing...in thee shall ALL families of the earth
shall be blessed. Abraham was blessed and in this he became a BLESSING! "Now to Abraham and his
seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds as to many; but as to one, and to thy seed,
which is Christ"
Gal 3:16-18 Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, "And to seeds," as
of many, but as of one, "And to your Seed," who is Christ. 17 And this I say, that the law, which
was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God
in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect. 18 For if the inheritance is of the law,
it is no longer of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise.
God had a witness in earth and a witness in heaven that He had made the covenant that through
Abraham and His Seed every nation and family of the earth be blessed and it was confirmed with an
oath so that it is a covenant that could never be annulled.
First we see Abraham was blessed, and then he became the blessing. Abraham was blessed so he could
be the blessing. Isn’t being a blessing what God has given to the body? God has given us all things
pertaining to life and Godliness in Christ. We have been given life that we would minister life to
those around us. We have been blessed in Christ to be a blessing just like Abraham.
When the Holy Spirit begins to reveal the higher Order of Melchizedek within our spirit, a
transformation begins to take place in our understanding. Our desire is to be a blessing to others.
Our desire is not to be blessed because we have become the blessed of the Lord. Now we begin to
understand things as God understands them and from this our desire becomes only to BLESS that we
may be as Christ after the order of Melchizedek. There really is a changing, a reversing of how we
minister in the new “Order” which is being instilled in the sons of God. Our old ideas, teachings,
concepts, doctrines, methods, and desires are being changed by His revealed truth. We are being
renewed in the spirit of our minds so we become fulfilled in the promises of God. The elect are
being led into new paths of the divine order of the Most High God. We must remember that every
dimension functions by precepts or statutes that regulate it, and so it is with the order of
Melchizedek. The first order of Melchizedek is to become a BLESSING not looking to be blessed. Have
we not been blessed with all things in Christ so that we can be a blessing?
Luke 6:35-38 35 "But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your
reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and
evil. 36 "Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.
37 "Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive,
and you will be forgiven. 38 "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken
together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it
will be measured back to you.
The work of transformation is taking place in our heart and mind. God is not dealing with the
outward manifestation of man; He is dealing deep into our soul, to change our attitudes, thoughts
and desires of our heart and mind through imparting the living word of God. When the inward
transformation is complete our outward man will be changed to reflect the “express image of
Christ.” We will reflect Christ because we are in the express image of Christ. God is stripping
away our veil that hides the evil nature, purging and purifying, so that we will be conformed to
His image, a partaker of His nature. Therefore we have received a commandment to bless without
expecting to receive
Israel decided it would have been better to have stayed in Egypt
than to have come out to worship God in the wilderness. The Church is making a similar mistake
today in denying the glory of our wilderness testing in pursuing abundant worldly treasures in
abundance instead of the calling to become a holy nation of royal priests.
