Judgment must begin at the house of God first
It would appear that we have forgotten what God has said about the judgment of God beginning with
God’s people first. In many instances we have been led to believe that living by the dictates of
our flesh has no consequences to the “Saved.” If unbelief has no consequences than why would God
need to judge His people? According to the doctrine taught today that once “saved” we are not
perfect just forgiven. Some say we are “just an old sinner saved by grace.” Both of these
statements leave out one important fact. Saved represents the condition of our having been saved
from something ruling over us. First, we have been delivered or saved from the power of sin and
death. If we are still “just an old sinner saved by grace” then where is salvation by grace through
faith that freed us from the POWER of sin and death? If we are free from the consequences of our
sins then why do we need to be judged? Could it be we have misunderstood what “saved by grace
through faith” really should accomplish in our life? If grace is what saves me from doing evil then
it is faith that brings this about this conditio9n of having been saved. Could this be why God must
begin judgment in His own house first? We are being chastinened and rebuked by God so that we have
the opportunity to be found approved in the faith of Christ. To be found approved we must be tested
as gold is tested in the fire. What might the consequences be if we am not found approved? Could I
lose the Spirit of glory and of God resting upon me if I am not found faithful?
1 Peter 4:12-19 12 Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you,
as though some strange thing happened to you; 13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of
Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. 14
If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God
rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified. 15 But let none
of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people's matters. 16
Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this
matter. 17 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with
us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 Now
"If the righteous one is scarcely saved,
Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?"
19 Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing
good, as to a faithful Creator.
Heb 10:26-31 26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no
longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery
indignation which will devour the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has rejected Moses' law dies without
mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose,
will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the
covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we
know Him who said, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord. And again, "The LORD will
judge His people." 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
The judgment or chastening of God reveals to us where our unbelief keeps us from being found in the
faith. Our unbelief takes on many different forms. One type of unbelief is to not give thanks in
all things as the Word tells us to do. Another form of unbelief would be to say our sins of the
flesh have no consequences to the “saved.” The Lord has demonstrated His mighty power over and over
and yet we still do not rejoice when trials come. When we do not count it all joy in our trials we
are not obeying His Word that says “in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in
Christ Jesus for you.” If we are not obeying the Word to be found in the faith, then unbelief has
our trust not faith. If our trust has been placed in our own works such as tithing or ministering
then it is misplaced? The test of faith isn’t that I give from a percentage of my income to be
blessed. The test of faith is to obey the Holy Spirit through the trials, temptations and
persecutions. Giving thanks in all trials knowing that the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon
us. It is because of the Spirit of glory and of God resting upon us that we experience manifold
temptation, trials and persecutions.
1 Thess 5:15-22 15 See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good
both for yourselves and for all. 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give
thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not
despise prophecies. 21 Test all things; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of
evil.
Israel was not thankful for the provisions of God in the wilderness. For their unbelief and
disobedience they died not entering into the Promised Land. The word states that Israel did not mix
the Word of God with faith and so they were rejected. If we do not obey the words the Holy Spirit
speaks to us are we making the same mistake as Israel? Will we be rejected and not get to enter
into what has been promised if we do not obey the Words of the Holy Spirit? As we follow the
leading of the Holy Spirit we do not sin because He leads us away from the sins of the flesh.
Heb 4:9-12 9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. 10 For he who has entered His
rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. 11 Let us therefore be diligent to
enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. 12 For the word of
God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of
soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the
heart.
After we are baptized with the Holy Spirit and fire, the fire is for the reproving of our old
nature through the Spirit leading us into the truth. When we are in the fire of judgment our
response is either after the nature of Christ or after our fallen nature. The Spirit of judgment is
for the separation of what is good (Christ’s nature) from what is evil. (Our old fallen nature) The
current understanding of many is that the elect of God are not judged and rewarded according to
their works of faith and or lack there of. If this doctrine were correct there would be no need for
the judgment of God. There would be no need to prove our faith because our inheritance would be
solely upon Christ and not upon our overcoming by grace through faith. Do we get the crown of life
through Christ’s temptations or through enduring our own temptations? In our learning to endure is
where we learn to suffer with Christ and to be made conformable unto His death. When we are made
conformable unto His death then we can enter into His rest.
James 1:12 12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will
receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
The crown of life is awarded to those who love God and endure being tempted to prove their faith in
God’s word. This reward is given because these have been found faithful in the time of temptation.
These could not be drawn away from their pursuit of obedience to the Holy Spirit by the lust of the
flesh, the world or the devil. When it said the reward is to those who loved Him, enduring in faith
through the toughest trials is one way we show that we love Him. Can I say I love God if I continue
walking after the world, the flesh and the devil when I was set free by grace through faith to
serve righteousness?
Because it is in receiving the abundance of grace through faith that saves me from obeying my
fallen nature, so when I continue in my old sinful nature can I say I have faith with works? If
obeying faith is how we are saved and rewarded and sin remains how can I expect to be rewarded with
the righteous who are obeying faith? We have been given the strength of grace so that we can obey
the requirements of faith.
Romans 1:4-6 5 Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among
all nations for His name, 6 among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ;
What is missed is that if I am responding in my trials from my old nature my response is
unrighteous and I am found unapproved. When my response is unrighteous it is not of faith but of
unbelief. Of course it is not faith because faith is the righteousness that is in obeying the voice
of the Holy Spirit. If my response is of faith it will be of Christ’s nature and therefore be
righteous.
Paul stressed righteousness apart from the Law, not apart from faith. The faith that Paul stressed
was the faith of Christ, not my statement of belief in that I am “saved.” My statement that I am
“saved” must be more than just a statement. Saved must demonstrate to others that Christ lives in
the temple. As Christ fills the temple the life that I now live should not be I but Christ that
lives in me. Now I live this life by the faith of the Son of God who gave His life for me. If my
response in trials is from unbelief or disobedience do I need to be “saved”? Is it possible that we
need to rethink our doctrine of “saved?” Have we neglected so great a salvation for the pleasures
of this life? Is it the pleasures of sin that are chocking out the life that should be present in
the temple?
Romans 3:21-25 21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed
by the law and the prophets; 22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ
unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23 For all have sinned, and
come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that
is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to
declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of
God;
It is not our guilt from the Law that is being judged but our thoughts and intents of heart SINCE
we were born again. Are our thoughts and intentions of heart born of faith or from our sinful
nature? As a man believes in his heart so is he, because out of the abundance of the heart the
mouth speaks. So, if out of my mouth comes “I am just an old sinner saved by grace” what am I? It
is through this judgment that should be working out our salvation with fear and trembling. We can
not overcome temptation unless we stand by grace and fight the fight of faith. We can not fight in
faith until we understand that faith is in hearing the Holy Spirit not from quoting the letter or
the Law. Faith is born from the spoken word of God to an individual. “Faith comes by hearing and
hearing by the word of God.” If we are a hearer only and not a doer of what God has said are we
demonstrating faith? “The just shall live by faith.” What is it that faith should produce in the
life of a believer? Faith is belief, conviction and confidence in what God has said to us. If I
live by the letter or the law they will produce death in me. If I live by the spoken word of the
Holy Spirit I will learn faith and that will produce life in me. Yes, the Holy Spirit speaks the
words that are written so that they become life to us. The difference between the letter and the
Spirit is that the letter has not been written in our heart and placed in our mind and so it is not
life or faith to us. The new covenant of Spirit is to be spoken to every one by the Holy Spirit to
be written on the tables of our heart and mind. Our servitude is not to the letter or the Law but
to the Holy Spirit for this life of faith.
Romans 7:6 6 But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so
that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.
2 Cor 3:5-6 5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves,
but our sufficiency is from God, 6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant,
not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
We have been called to demonstrate the power of Christ’s resurrection to the world. When we are
lured into sin we are demonstrating our unbelief and rebellion and not the power of Christ’s
resurrection. Why would the world want to follow a group of hypocrites that say “they are not
perfect just forgiven?” Those who do receive the “born again” experience are pretty much left to
their own understanding of what this new life in Christ is about. There is little guidance in how
we acquire this faith through the Spirit to live a godly life now that we have been “saved.” It is
this lack of our growth in faith that we are being judged for so that we may repent and be found
approved. One way we lack faith is when we try to follow the letter or the law which cannot produce
faith. Another way we can lack faith is not to allow the spoken word to take root and in time of
temptation fall away.
Luke 8:11-15 "Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 "Those by the wayside are
the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they
should believe and be saved. 13 "But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive
the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall
away. 14 "Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are
choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity. 15 "But the ones
that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep
it and bear fruit with patience.
It is in this divine judgment that God is revealing who we are. Which are we those who the devil
steals the word from? The ones who receive the word with joy but in time of temptation apostatize?
The ones who have heard but the cares of this life choke keep us from maturity? Could we be the
ones with the noble and good heart who bring forth fruit with patience? The difference between
divine judgment and divine wrath is, judgment will bring about repentance unto life and wrath will
utterly destroy those who reject His truth in the refining fire.
There were five churches that were told to repent or loose the blessings that had been offered to
them. Do we really want to believe that there are no consequences to our sinful nature? God’s
purpose of judgment is to bring us to repentance and the fulfillment of perfection that is in
Christ. When Christ appears we are supposed to see Him as He is because we are supposed to be like
Him. Will we be like Him if we reject the judgment of God? We get to be like Him by embracing the
judgment of God now so that through grace and faith we are conformed to His express image before He
returns.
Again let us look at the words of Christ to the seven churches. Only two churches were worthy to
receive the inheritance with Christ. Do we really believe that we can reject so great a salvation
for the pleasures of sin today and not reap the wages for our unrighteousness? There really is a
famine on the Word of God. This famine isn’t that Gods is not speaking but that we are not hearing
what He is saying to us. Spiritual deafness is a real danger to our salvation because it poses the
question of just who are we hearing. If we are not hearing God then who are we hearing? To him that
has an ear let him hear the Spirit who is speaking.
1 "To the angel of the church of Ephesus write,
Rev 2:1-29 'These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the
midst of the seven golden lampstands: 2 "I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you
cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not,
and have found them liars; 3 "and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My
name's sake and have not become weary. 4 "Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left
your first love. 5 "Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works,
or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place--unless you repent. 6
"But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. 7 "He who has an
ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat
from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God." '
8 "And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write,
'These things says the First and the Last, who was dead, and came to life: 9 "I know your works,
tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are
Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. 10 "Do not fear any of those things which you are
about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be
tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the
crown of life. 11 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who
overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death." '
12 "And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write,
'These things says He who has the sharp two-edged sword: 13 "I know your works, and where you
dwell, where Satan's throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the
days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells. 14 "But
I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who
taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to
idols, and to commit sexual immorality. 15 "Thus you also have those who hold the doctrine of the
Nicolaitans, which thing I hate. 16 'Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight
against them with the sword of My mouth. 17 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says
to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give
him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives
it." '
18 "And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write,
'These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass:
19 "I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are
more than the first. 20 "Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman
Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual
immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. 21 "And I gave her time to repent of her sexual
immorality, and she did not repent. 22 "Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit
adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. 23 "I will kill her
children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and
hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works. 24 "Now to you I say, and to
the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan,
as they say, I will put on you no other burden. 25 "But hold fast what you have till I come. 26
"And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the
nations--
27 'He shall rule them with a rod of iron;
They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter's vessels'--
as I also have received from My Father; 28 "and I will give him the morning star. 29 "He who has an
ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." '
"And to the angel of the church in Sardis write,
Rev 3:1-22 'These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: "I know your
works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. 2 "Be watchful, and strengthen
the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God.
3 "Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will
not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. 4
"You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with
Me in white, for they are worthy. 5 "He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I
will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and
before His angels. 6 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." '
7 "And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write,
'These things says He who is holy, He who is true, "He who has the key of David, He who opens and
no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens": 8 "I know your works. See, I have set before you an open
door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not
denied My name. 9 "Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and
are not, but lie--indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I
have loved you. 10 "Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the
hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. 11
"Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. 12 "He who
overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. And I
will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which
comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name. 13 "He who has an ear,
let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." '
14 "And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write,
'These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God:
15 "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 "So
then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17
"Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing'--and do not know that
you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked-- 18 "I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined
in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of
your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19 "As
many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. 20 "Behold, I stand at the
door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with
him, and he with Me. 21 "To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also
overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. 22 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the
Spirit says to the churches." ' "
When we look at these seven churches we find only that one was told they were worthy to walk with
Christ in white because they had not defiled their garments. The lukewarm church was told to take
the trying of their faith and repent as they are rebuked so that they will not be seen naked. We
don’t want to forget what happened to the one who did not have a garment and tried to go to the
wedding feast.
Matt 22:8-8 "Then he said to his servants, 'The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were
not worthy. 9 'Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding.' 10
"So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both bad
and good. And the wedding hall was filled with guests. 11 "But when the king came in to see the
guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. 12 "So he said to him, 'Friend,
how did you come in here without a wedding garment?' And he was speechless. 13 "Then the king said
to the servants, 'Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there
will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.' 14 "For many are called, but few are chosen."
Jesus is standing at the door and knocking but are we hearing Him and opening the door so He can
come in and dine. It is the door to our heart Christ is knocking on. Christ is knocking and it is
up to us to open the door for Him to commune with us. Again we see if we do not respond we just
might perish in our unbelief.
Rev 3:18-20 18 "I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and
white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and
anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19 "As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten.
Therefore be zealous and repent. 20 "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My
voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
There was only one church told that they would be kept from the hour of trial that was to come upon
the whole world to try them. The saints at Philadelphia had kept Christ’s command to persevere.
Shouldn’t we also understand what it means to persevere? (Endure) Those who receive this promise to
be kept from temptation are those who have persevered. He will keep us in this state of faith
during the hour of temptation that is to come upon the whole world. How will Christ keep us? He
will keep us by His power resting upon us. (Grace) But the promise is to those who have learned
beforehand to trust God in adverse circumstances and not lose faith by what they are going through.
To get this blessing these saints had endured the trial of their faith to the point of being
approved by Christ. These were not tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine that tickled their
ears but held to the sound doctrine of the gospel of grace and faith.
) steadfastness, constancy, endurance
1a) in the NT the characteristic of a man who is not swerved from his deliberate purpose and his
loyalty to faith and piety by even the greatest trials and sufferings
1b) patiently, and steadfastly
2) a patient, steadfast waiting for
3) a patient enduring, sustaining, perseverance
—Strong's Greek & Hebrew Dictionary
Why do you suppose we would need endurance or perseverance? Why should our faith need to be tested
to the point of having to reject apostasy? Could it be to inherit all things with Christ we must be
tried to the same degree as Christ was? We see in Word that perseverance produces godly character
and godly character hope. We are developing hope through trials that our faith will be the evidence
to bring us into the glory of God. The glory of God is to be made into the express image of Christ
and be part of the glory revealed when He returns. If I do not persevere I will not overcome the
thoughts and intents of heart that cause me to disobey the words of faith in the heat of battle. I
can not transition from my character to Christ’s character through unbelief. In order to obtain
this living hope to believe God through the trials I must preserve. If I refuse to learn to
persevere now I can’t do that. It isn’t what we may be going through that we need to focus on. We
need to focus on what God has said to us about the glory that is to reveal in us. It is Christ in
us that is our hope of being part of His glory.
Romans 5:1-4 1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord
Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and
rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations,
knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character,
hope.
What we see is that without the proving of our faith we do not develop character and without
character we do not develop hope. What is hope for in this life of trials? According to the Word of
God it states that faith is the evidence of things hoped for. So if we do not develop hope, faith
has nothing to be the substance or evidence of. If we have not developed His character and hope in
persevering then we have no proof of our faith. Faith without works is dead. The downside of not
being proven is that we just might become part of the apostasy that Paul warned was to come before
the revealing of the man of sin.
James 2:18-20 18 But someone will say, "You have faith, and I have works." Show me your faith
without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that there is one God.
You do well. Even the demons believe--and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that
faith without works is dead?
Heb 11:1-3 1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For
by it the elders obtained a good testimony. 3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by
the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
Strong’s says substance is:
1) a setting or placing under
1a) thing put under, substructure, foundation
2) that which has foundation, is firm
2a) that which has actual existence
Faith is the substructure or foundation of the things hoped for and the evidence of things not
seen. The word says “faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” To get a glimpse of
the glory that will be revealed we must hear the Spirit and be a doer of what we hear. It will
require an abundance of grace and the proving of our faith to enter into the glory revealed.
Strong’s says evidence is:1) a proof, that by which a thing is proved or tested 2) conviction
Faith is the foundation of the things hoped for and the proof of what we believe must be tested by
fire. When we look at the failings in the body of Christ we should understand why the judgment
begins at the house of God first. The Word says we are free from sin because our old man is
crucified. The evidence of faith is that I am free from the influence of my flesh and the fire of
temptation proves this to be true or false. The proof of our faith can only be proven in the arena
of testing.
Many believe that God does not heal everyone. Is this the truth as written in the word of God? No!!
Why do I say no? The word of God states that Christ bore all sickness and disease on His body.
Christ bore the curse of the Law for us. Part of the curse was sickness and disease. To say that
God does not heal everyone contradicts God. The question isn’t whether God heals everyone but do I
want to take the challenge to fight the fight of faith to overcome sickness and disease. The
challenge is do I believe what God’s word says or do I believe my circumstance? It is the devil
that lies and says “see God doesn’t heal everyone when we don’t get healed. Faith believes what God
has said not our experience if it isn’t what God has said. It is the devil who tempts us to
disagree with what the truth says about the blessings given through Christ. We can learn from
judgment and fight the fight of faith or we can reject the truth and say we have faith without
works.
2 Peter 1:3 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness,
through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,
Has God given us all things pertaining to life and godliness or not? God has given us the ability
through Him to overcome all things in this life. .I we cannot overcome all things then the promises
to the overcomers could not be true. We know that the word is true and all the promise are
attainable. So healing is not dependant upon God but upon our pursuit by grace through faith. Faith
or belief of the words God speaks to us and fighting the fight of faith, rejecting all doubt and
